- The Place du Général de Gaulle is Lille's lively central plaza, flanked by magnificent Renaissance and Baroque Flemish buildings with a Neoclassical façade.

- In its 4,000 square metres of exhibition space, the museum has almost 7,000 works of art. Famous artists such as Braque, Kandinsky, Klee, Miró, Modigliani, and Picasso have works on display.
