Pescara Culture and Traditions
- Pescara is the largest Abruzzese city and one of the significant commercial and tourist centres along the Adriatic coast.
- It is also the birthplace of Gabriele D'Annunzio, one of the most important Italian poets of the twentieth century, and the location of the 2009 Mediterranean Games.
- Pescara first appeared in 12th-century documents, and it most likely referred to a small centre built after the invasions of the ancient Roman Aternum site near the Aterno-Pescara river's estuary.
- Aternum began as a Marrucini and Peligni port before becoming the region's main port during Roman times.
- The Lombards, however, sacked and destroyed it in the sixth century AD. In the Middle Ages, two towns arose on opposite banks of the Pescara river: Pescara in the province of Chieti to the south and Castellammare Adriatico in the province of Teramo to the north.

- Maccheroni alla molinara is typically served with an Abruzzese ragù once cooked.
- The name translates to "miller's wife's pasta," It is thought to have originated in the mid-14th century when this pasta variety was presented to King Robert of Naples.

Fashion
#Fashion
- One of the most appealing aspects of Pescara is its well-managed traffic.
- Some major roads and tunnels take motorised vehicles right into the heart of town, but many smaller streets are only for pedestrians.
- This is a marvel in a country where you usually have to jump for your life when you hear the sound of a scooter or a car approaching.
- A large pedestrian area in Pescara is bounded by Corso Umberto I, Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, and Via Nicola Fabrizi.
- These streets are home to the best fashion and food stores, as well as a plethora of charming cafes and bars serving coffee and parrozzo or a refreshing Spritz with an array of stuzzichini.
- Treats that would be considered 'hygge' in Denmark.

- Underwater landscape and a thousand creeks that flow into a clear and crystalline body of water with a variety of colours: numerous sub-river springs that gush copiously on the bottom give new and continuous life to this basin, which, with a constant total flow of 7000 l / s, is one of the most crucial spring systems in central northern Italy.
