  • El Castell de Guadalest, undoubtedly one of Marina Baixa's gems, is characterised by its castle perched on the cliff, its alleys steeped in history, its lengthy traditions, and its breathtaking views over a beautiful natural landscape.
  • In 1974, the settlement was designated as an Artistic and Historic Conservation Area. The settlement of El Castell de Guadalest is divided into two sections: El Castillo, which sits atop the crag and is surrounded by castle walls, and El Arrabal, which was created later and spread along the mountain's foothills.
  • Many recommend beginning your journey of the hamlet at the El Castillo district, where you will view the spectacular fortress walls that testify to the history they have witnessed.
  • Built by Muslims, the walls have been preserved in part until this day. Additional towers fit in with the landscape, and the gate initially granted entry to El Castell de Guadalest.

Why El Castell De Guadalest Is Worth a Visit: Here Are the Best Places You Must See

destination - Seasons to travel

Orduña House

  • The Museo Municipal Casa Orduna is located just a few metres from Cases Noves in Guadalest (Alicante), a boutique hotel in Spain.
  • His visit coincides with that of the San Jose Castle. This is the most important museum in Guadalest!
  • Orduna House was created following the great earthquake of 1644, which devastated the area and destroyed the castle's premises.
  • It was created by the Basque family Orduna, who landed in El Castell de Guadalest with the trust of Cardona, Admirals of Aragon. Sir Sancho de Cardona was made Marquess of Guadalest in 1542.
  • The Orduna served the Marquis as rulers of the citadel and their respective states.
  • The house is situated on an irregular plot of land. On the one hand, it supports the rock but also takes up space above the chapels of the parish church next door.
  • Masonry-bearing walls sustain the structure. The building is made of wood, plaster, and ceramic tiles.
  • It features four levels that are reached through a series of stages. A spacious entrance hall, cellar, kitchen, dining room, pantry, corrals, stables, and barn made up the ground level.
  • The remaining levels housed various dormitories and offices.

Castillo de la Alcozaiba

  • The Castle of Alcozaiba is located in the town of El Castell de Guadalest, province of Alicante, on the rocky cliffs of considerable verticality.
  • The Muslims built the fortress of Alcozaiba in the 11th century, and it is located in the area of the old Casa Ordua.
  • Guadalest, a town of Islamic origin with valuable defences, was seized by Jaime I's forces, who gave it to Vidal de Sarrià, whose family he belonged until 1335, and afterwards to the Infante Pedro de Aragón.
  • It was the centre of the Marquesado de Guadalest, with which Carlos I distinguished Sancho Folc de Cardona and Ruz de Lihory, beginning in 1543.
  • It ruled over a massive number of population centres, most of which were depopulated following the expulsion of the Moors in 1609.
  • It is worth noting that the Ordua family remained in constant contact with the city, serving as wardens, governors, and justices.

The Castell de Guadalest

  • The Castell de Guadalest, located in one of Spain's most picturesque communities, is crowned by a massive rocky mass that dominates the entire Guadalest Valley.
  • The Castell de Guadalest existed during Muslim times and has been owned by some families over the years.
  • It has witnessed numerous tales and crown feats since Jaime II gave it to the Sarrià family as a fief in 1293.
  • Despite its contentious past, the Castell de Guadalest began to flourish in the twentieth century. The wall was subject to the law of Generic Protection of Spanish Castles in 1949, and the reservoir building began a few years later and was completed in 1971.
  • Since then, the municipality has piqued the interest of the surrounding populace and has grown into a popular tourist destination.
  • In addition to being designated a historical-artistic complex, the municipality has received several awards, including the Tourist Merit award in 1980, the Beautification and Improvement of the Towns of Spain in 1981, the mention as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain in 2015, and membership in the Federation of the World's Most Beautiful Villages in 2016.
  • Today, much of its heritage may be visited, including the iconic castle and tower on top of the rock, the parish church from the seventeenth century, the prison, and various museums, the most notable of which is Casa Ordua, which was rehabilitated to become a Municipal Museum.
  • Nature can also be enjoyed at the Castel de Guadalest. Because of its beautiful beauty, the reservoir offers a variety of paths and experiences.

  • Mykola Syadristy's micro art museum is on the grounds of Kyiv Pecherska Lavra.
  • The collection only includes the works of one author, which is understandable given the scarcity of persons who can shoe a flea.
  • The fundamental feature of the art is that all works are created using proprietary technology invented by the author for each type of work.
  • Only in Kyiv's micro art museum can one witness unique works that demonstrate the extraordinary talent of their creator and strike one with their precision and, much more than small, proportions.
  • The microminiatures in the museum collection widen one's perspective on man's faculties.
  • Syadristy created the world's tiniest acting electromotor, measuring 1/20 mm in size. It costs around 20 times less than a poppy seed.
  • A portion of the collection is housed in the Andorra Museum, another in the Moscow Polytechnic Museum, and 15 paintings are housed in the Hungarian painter's city of Sentendre.
  • During his 50-year creative career, he travelled the globe, from Japan and Australia to Chile and Canada.
  • Almost every item of art in the exhibition is one-of-a-kind and one-of-a-kind. Consider the rose in the hair.
  • A cavity is pierced and polished to complete transparency inside the human hair at full length. A rose branch with a thickness of 0.05 mm is put into this cavity.
  • The master had no trouble fitting the entire caravan of golden camels into the needle ear. He engraved notes - a portion of Ohynsky's polonaise - on a 2x5 mm glass chrysanthemum petal.
  • Beautiful bas-relief portrait of ballerina Maya Plyseckaya M.Syadristy set on a little piece of cherry stone (3x4 mm). There was enough room on the half poppy seed for a windmill of 203 golden components.
  • This is simply a partial list of the great things you can view at the Kyiv Pechersky Lavra's mini art museum.M. Syadristy was named the best micro artist in the world.

  • The Baetic Mountains, which run through the southeastern part of the Iberian Peninsula, break apart before reaching the sea of Alicante, resulting in sharp peaks and cliffs.
  • The settlement of Castell de Guadalest (or Guadalest in Spanish) overlooks the lush valley of Guadalest, which is about 24 kilometres from Benidorm and the coast, hidden among the mountain ranges of Xorta, Serrella, Aitana, and Bernia. Almond, orange, and olive orchards beautify the hillside terraces.
  • The vertical walls of the rock that protect the settlement are enormous, especially given the flatness of the province of Alicante.
  • Many villages in the Valley of Guadalest have Arab origins, as it was initially the border of the ancient Almohad Caliphate, which eventually crumbled.
  • The valley was challenging to reach, a refuge of flora hidden among the mountains but was ideal for defensive purposes.
  • The settlement of Castell de Guadalest is situated on a cliff at roughly 600 metres in elevation, loomed over the valley with its hanging castles.
  • There was only one way to get to the mediaeval village: through a tunnel cut through the stony ridge.
