The Best Places to Visit in Idre
Njupeskärs Waterfall
- A waterfall in Sweden that is 93 metres high. From August 18 till 2022, the Njupeskär waterfall trail will be under renovation.
- From August 18 through 2022, the final section of the trail to the waterfall will be closed. The trail needs to be replaced because it is in bad shape.
- 24–26 of August will see the helicopter transportation of some remodelling supplies
- You can observe the waterfall from a distance, but you are not permitted to hike the entire Njupeskär trail.
- Pay attention to our staff's instructions and respect the barriers. Violation puts lives in jeopardy.

STÄDJAN-NIPFJÄLLET

Idre Off the Beaten Track
- Together with the Lngfjällets Nature Reserve, Töfsingdalen National Park covers a sizable portion of northern Dalarna.
- A harsh land with miles of untouched wilderness. Although there are well-marked trails from Grövelsjön and Lövsen, the area has no highways. You can find a modest shelter by Lake Töfsingen.

- At the end of June, one can participate in a Midsummer celebration with a dance around the Maypole in any town or village in Dalarna.
- The Falun Copper Mine and environs, a UNESCO World Heritage site, must be included in the list. In the 17th and 18th centuries, the wealth from the copper mined here enabled Sweden to rise to prominence in Europe.
