- Norrtälje, Roslagen's main town, is an idyllic little town with authentic houses and a mediaeval road network.

- Gustav II Adolf founded Norrtälje in 1622, but the Russians burned down significant sections of the town in 1719. In the 1730s, the estate of Wallinska Grdarna was built on Lilla Torget square, and the Town Hall on Stora Torget square.
- Norrtälje was a popular spa resort on the Baltic Sea in the mid-nineteenth century, known for its healing mud.

- Storholmen Viking Village is located on the shores of Lake Erken. An Iron Age burial ground with 166 early Iron Age graves and a beautiful nature reserve with centuries-old oaks can be found here. A guesthouse, pizzeria, and beach are also nearby.
- The museum organises hands-on crafts, games, and storytelling during the summer. Throughout the year, guided tours are available. On request, feasts and weddings are also organised.

Pythagoras Industrial Museum
- The former Pythagoras engine factory in the Swedish town of Norrtälje, in the Uppland region, is where the Pythagoras Mechanical Workshop Museum is located.
- The museum exhibits production facilities and working environments from the first half of the 20th century.
- The factory produced hot-bulb engines and spare parts from 1908 until the workshop closed in 1979.
- The engine factory is a working industrial heritage site with production lines and offices.

- Norrtälje Municipality is in Stockholm County, Sweden, in east central Sweden. Its headquarters are in the city of Norrtälje.
- It is the largest and northernmost municipality in Stockholm County, formed in 1971 by the merger of several former municipalities. The current municipality is made up of 25 original local government units.
