Crystal Kingdom
- Since the 1700s, glassmaking has been practised in some areas of Sweden, and at one point, there were 45 different glass factories located here.
- Between Växjö and Kalmar is the "Crystal Kingdom," or Glasriket, where there are numerous stops where you can watch skilled glassblowers at work.
- The two most well-known companies, Kosta Boda and Orrefors, have visitor centres and gift shops where you can stop.
- Even Kosta Boda's upscale residence, the Kosta Boda Art Hotel, which sparkles with cut glass fixtures and fittings, has been inspired by the idea of glass.
Spirit of Gnosjö
- Surprisingly, Sweden's industrial and entrepreneurial growth has been significantly influenced by Smland.

Visit beautiful castles
- The history of Kalmar Castle dates back 800 years, and during the many bloody years of the war against Denmark, the fortress served as a crucial strategic hub.
- It is accessible to the general public, and in addition to the customary tours and exhibits, there are kid-focused activities like dress-up times, treasure hunts, and the opportunity to meet the castle's "princess."
- The lovely island of Visingsö is located further north, close to Jönköping, and is encircled by the lake's deep blue water.
- Sweden's first royal castle is Näs Slott, located on the island's southernmost point.

- The people of Sweden are proud of how their nation has transformed from a destination for emigrants to a centre for manufacturing, design, and fine art in glass.
- You are never far from wonderful outdoor experiences when you live in an area with plenty of countryside, lakes, and forests.
- In Glasriket, cycling is excellent. Between villages, it is undoubtedly a route rich in heritage. Parking is available at Devata Fiskecamp by the lake. Try your hand at fishing or learn about Swedish sauna culture.
- Since 1742, glass has been produced in Sweden. Over 45 glassworks were in operation at their height at the end of the 19th century.
