- This one is the undisputed king of the castles in a city with the largest concentration anywhere in the UK.
- It's built on top of a 2,000-year-old Roman stronghold, but the oldest elements of the town's best-preserved castle aren't quite that old.
- They are, nevertheless, still quite magnificent, given they date from the 10th century!
- It's particularly fantastic because it's near Atlantic Wharf, one of our favourite Cardiff neighbourhoods.
- This is one of the country's most popular tourist attractions.
- Obtaining tickets to skip the line may be worthwhile, so you don't waste half your day waiting!
- Once you've entered the State Apartments, take in the fantastic displays.
