About Degli Orafi

A historic Florentine residence in the heart of the city, situated on the Lungarno Archibusieri facing the Ponte Vecchio and alongside the Uffizi Gallery. Dating back to the 13th century, the property was originally an Augustinian convent and retreat. Inside, remnants of a medieval tower, destroyed by the Ghibellines in 1260 and now partially restored, remain. The modern library is adorned with original, well-preserved period frescoes. The breakfast room, serving an American breakfast, was once a 19th-century ballroom with frescoes and boasts views of the Arno River and Via dei Georgofili. A panoramic bar with a terrace and roof garden overlooks the Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio, offering a relaxing spot to enjoy a drink.
